Bram van Ojik, the head of
the Green Left faction in Parliament has suspended parliamentarian Linda
Voortman for one month. She had discussed the candidates for the position of National
Ombudsman she had access to as a commission member with the other
parliamentarians of her party, to which she was not entitled as these were
confidential. Voortman claims that she did not leak this confidential
information to the press. The presidium of parliament has now charged the
National Detective Service of the Police to discover how the confidential
information reached the press.
