The police have so far been unsuccessful in arresting the perpetrators of a series of anti-Semitic incidents at the beginning of this year. Minister of Justice Ernst Hirsch Ballin (Christian Democrats) has reported this to Parliament. The incidents include arson at the Arnhem synagogue, as well as next to an Amsterdam synagogue, the breaking of synagogue windows in Haaksbergen and twice in Oss, the shooting at the Sinai Center in Amsterdam and vandalism near the Israeli National Tourist Office.
